Lakers beat Versailles

Kaylee Shelton was clutch at the plate, driving in four runs on three hits to lead the Indian Lake Lakers past Versailles, 12-1, in non-league softball.

Shelton drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the third and a single in the fourth.

Callie Stidman earned the win for the Lakers.

Ben Logan jayvees win

Rylee Holcomb had the right stuff on Thursday for Benjamin Logan’s jayvee softball team, allowing zero runs and run-ruling Tecumseh by a score of 10-0 at Benjamin Logan.

Taylor Lafferty led Benjamin Logan to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate and reached on an error. Lafferty drove in runs on a triple in the first, a single in the third, and a single in the fifth.

Riverside jayvees fall

Minster beat Riverside, 17-1, in jayvee softball.

For the Pirates, H. McClintick, K. Johnson, and R. Yelton all had hits. A. Gonzalez and A. McKee combined for 3 strikeouts on the mound for the pirates.

Indian Lake track

The Indian Lake varsity track team opened their season at the Joe Horn Tiger Relays at Waynesfield-Goshen Saturday. The boys team placed 2nd

of 8 teams. Team scores were Col. Crawford 111, Indian Lake 105, Wapakoneta 71, Waynesfield-Goshen 63, Kalida 57.5, Ada 55.5, Allen East 45, and Ridgemont 16.

First place relay finishes came from the 4×400 team of Caden Paavola, Reid Vance, Ethan Cummins, and Ryan Braig (21:49), the shot put team

of Nathan Reichert, Brandon Rettig, and Pride Mims (114-9) and the high jump team of Dustin Franks and Riley Ricketts (11-2).

Placing second were Franks, Austin Beck, and Ethan Parker in long jump (54-10), Parker, John Gambrel, Reid Notestine and Chris LaRiva in triple jump (101-11.5), Cummins, Paavola, Austin Tron and Vance in the 4×800 (9:51), Paavola, Vance, Cummins and Ricketts in the 2400 Distance medley (6:46), Beck, Carter Burnside, Darrick Curtis and Gavin Dukowitz in the 4×200 (1:38), Beck, Burnside, Curtis and Dolan Miller in the sprint medley (1:43), and Franks, Gambrel, Tyler Roberts and Ricketts in the shuttle hurdles (1:08).

Paavola, Parker, Roberts and Braig finished third in the 4,000 distance medley (13:30).

The Indian Lake girls scored 38 points and placed 7th of 8 teams.

Annabelle Bryant and Lauren Nance placed second in triple jump (45-0).

Ella Wagner, Rachel Wahl, Erin Miller and Macie Meyers placed third in the 4×400 (30:19). Bryant, Olivia Reasor, and Hailey Even placed

fourth in long jump (36-9) and Wagner, Wahl, Even and Catherine Thomas placed fourth in the 2400 distance medley (8:41).

The Lakers are home on Tuesday in a tri-meet versus Ada and USV.

Riverside jayvees win

Riverside beat New Bremen, 12-2, in jayvee softball.

Winning pitcher Jenna Woods had 12 strikeouts. Wood, Williams, Copas and Perk all had multi-base hits for the Pirates.
