Logan County Board of DD receives donation


The Logan County Special Olympics Braves team stands on home plate as Logan County Board of DD Superintendent Saul Bauer accepts a check from the Columbus Driven Foundation. The Logan County Braves defeated the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities staff team in a hard fought softball contest at Southview Park on Sept. 10. Coach Ashley Logan said the team recorded several hits to the outfield, including Adam Harpest’s shot to start off the game and Jeannie Roberts’ first ever hit of her career. Prior to the game, the Braves gathered at home plate to accept a check from Joe Heater, a representative from the Driven Foundation in Columbus. In the spring, the Board of DD, Braves and the Driven Foundation teamed up for a celebrity basketball game at Ben Logan High School featuring several former Ohio State Football stars. The event netted $1,437 for the Logan County Special Olympics team.
