Students and staff at Riverside High School competed against one another Friday, May 15, in the 5th annual Youth Impact Team Dodgeball Tournament at the school. While the teachers won the championship, United Way was the real winner of the event. Over $1,141 was raised and donated to the local organization.
“We wanted to make sure the money that we donated stays in our community and goes to the causes that we know need the most help,” said senior Levi Stapleton. “United Way is the best organization for that. They know exactly who needs the help and they do well to get that money to them.” The champions for the high school event was the Riverside Staff Team and the middle school champions were the Cuddle Pumpkins.
