Huntsville 1 Fast Track Signs won the Logan County Farm Championship by sweeping two games from Zanesfield 1 in the tournament closer June 24, coming out of the losers’ bracket to force the doubleheader. The sweep avenged the sole loss of the season for Fast Track Signs, which came at the hands Zanesfield 1 earlier in the tourney.
Fast Track Signs won the opener, 15-2, then scored the same amount of runs in the nightcap, pasting Zanesfield, 15-6, to take home the Farm League championship hardware.
Lane Tucci struck out 10 batters and allowed only three hits on the mound in the first game, while Tyler Michael hit a grand slam and ended the game with six RBI. Easton Klauer also had a dinger and a triple for Huntsville 1, and Madden Lillard had chipped in with two hits and a pair of RBI.
In the second game, Dawson Finfrock and Camdon Tuttle combined to strike out 10 batters for Huntsville 1. Burke Lillard had three hits and three runs scored. Finfrock, Tyler Michael, and Colby Borgerding each added two hits in the 15-6 win.
Huntsville 1 Fast Track Signs ended its season with a sparkling 19-1 record.
