Two local softball players, Brooke Lewis and Madisyn Neal, were selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase North at Kent State University on Jan. 9-10, 2016. The QDSN – as it is known – is the largest fastpitch showcase event of its kind.

This event continues to attract athletes from 21+ states and two Canadian provinces. This event – the Queen of Diamonds North, in its 20th season. Both events have over normally 2400+ applicants in which 364+ athletes are selected. This showcase is very unique as athletes actually ‘apply to’ this event individually and are selected based on many criteria ranging from ability, potential, academics, grad year, coaches requests and referrals. Junior Brooke Lewis is a catcher for Indian Lake High School and plays for Ohio Swarm Travel team, Sophomore Madisyn Neal is a pitcher for Bellefontaine High School and plays for Ohio Fury 98 travel team. Both Ladies are excited to be selected for this elite softball event that will showcase their hard work and dedication to the game.
