Indian Lake School administrators are examining the results of a parent survey. More than 220 parents took time to complete the questionnaire that appeared on the school’s website and Facebook page for several weeks. The survey asked for parent opinions about the district’s facilities, staff and academic programs. Many parents completed the survey during recent parent/teacher conferences.
Indian Lake Curriculum Director Kyle Wagner said, “We always appreciate feedback and want parents to know that constructive input is welcome anytime of the year, not just during the survey time.”
The District Leadership Team is considering ways to make improvements based on the results. Administrators are already working with local businesses and schools of higher education to find high-impact, cost-effective ways of aligning Indian Lake course offerings and technology with the needs of area employers. They are also considering ways to make the drop-off and pick-up lines run more smoothly.
This is the third time Indian Lake has conducted the parent survey. Wagner notes that parent participation has increased each year.
