Logan County United Way volunteers will be staffing a phone bank Friday, Nov. 20, hoping to put donations in the real bank and cap a successful 2015 campaign season. The LIVE UNITED Radiothon on Mix 98.3 FM, WPKO will occur during the Bellefontaine radio station’s 6-9 a.m. Morning Show. The show’s host, Chad Wilkinson, is United Way’s Campaign co-chair.
Listeners will hear how their gifts impact the lives of Logan County residents from a parade of representatives of United Way’s Funded Agencies. Prizes and incentives for donations will be offered.
“We’re book-ending our campaign with the Wilkinsons,” joked Dave Bezusko, United Way’s executive director. “In September, we kicked off our campaign with an event at Green Hills Foundation Hall, Nita’s workplace. Now we’re ending it at Chad’s. In between, we’ve raised over $622,000 to meet the social service needs of Logan County. We need your help to finish strong and achieve that $720,000 goal.”
Radiothon donors can make their United Way gift online anytime at www.uwlogan.org or by calling the station during the program at 937-592-1045.
