The Quincy-DeGraff Joint Sewer Board regular meeting scheduled for Nov. 2 was cancelled due to lack of a quorum. The next meeting will be a Special Meeting for the Annual Joint Council meeting for the villages of Quincy and DeGraff at 7 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 8, at the Quincy Community Building.

The end of season awards banquet info for West Liberty-Salem:

High school golf will be Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Home Ec Room. Pizza, drinks and table service will be provided, athletes are asked to bring a dessert to share.

High school boys soccer will be Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in cafetorium, a dessert buffet, athletes are asked to bring a dessert to share, drinks and table service will be provided.

High school boys and girls cross country will be Nov 18 at 6 p.m. for a potluck in cafetorium. Meat, drinks, and table service will be provided. Athletes are asked to bring a dish to share.

High school girls soccer will be Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. Pizza buffet- drinks and table service provided, athletes are asked to bring a dessert to share.

High school volleyball will be Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. will be a potluck in the cafetorium. Athletes are asked to bring a dish to share. Drinks and table service will be provided.

Pre-sale tickets will be on sale at the following locations for West Liberty-Salem play off football game: high school office, C & R Pharmacy, Stocksdale Insurance (Urbana). Tickets are $8 and purchasing pre-sale is encouraged as the school gets a percentage of sales back. Tickets are on sale until 3 p.m. Friday at the school and Stocksdales and until noon Saturday at C & R Pharmacy.

Miami Grange in DeGraff hosts a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The cost is $6 for adults and $2.50 for children. This will be the final pancake breakfast for 2015. They will begin again in March 2016. Thank you for your continued support and see you in the Spring.

Mt. Tabor Church of God will hold a Revival Meeting Wednesday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 22. The public is invited. Services will be held Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday at 6 p.m. The remainder of the revival services will be held nightly at 7 p.m. During each service, the church choir sings and evangelist Brian Shump delivers a message. He is the pastor of the Chase Church of God near Huntsville, Alabama. Mt. Tabor Church of God is located east of the intersection of SR 235 and CR 13, 5.5 miles north of DeGraff. Regional liaisons for the Secretary of State’s office will be in 28 counties around Ohio, including Logan County. All are welcome 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 20 at the Logan County Knowlton Library, 220 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. The purpose of open office hours is to give local residents an opportunity to learn more about, and stay connected with, the Secretary of State’s office in an informal and accessible setting. In addition to making voter registration forms and election information available, regional representatives will be on hand to answer questions and distribute materials to those interested in learning more about the other functions of the office such as the business services division and initiatives including the Ohio Business Profile and Military Ready-to-Vote program.

DeGraff residents are invited to a neighborhood grant meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in village council chambers, 107 Main St., to discuss developing projects in the village. The West Liberty United Methodist Church, 202 W. Newell St., will host GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays, a one-evening seminar for people facing the holidays after the loss of a loved one. This will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the church. The event is designed to provide ways to navigate through the holidays and will give practical tips, words of strength and encouragement, and suggestions to help you face and survive the unique stresses of the holiday season. West Liberty United Methodist Church offers Grief Support through a program called GriefShare, a weekly seminar and support group designed to help rebuild life after losing a loved one. The two session times offered are 10 a.m. Mondays starting Aug. 31 or 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Sept. 1. There is a $5 registration fee. The group meets at the church, 202 W. Flu shots are available at the Logan County Health District during regular immunization clinics. These clinics are held every Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. In addition on the first and third Thursday of the month there are late clinics available from 2-6 p.m.

The Logan County WIC has monthly breastfeeding classes at the Logan County Health District office. The classes are open to the public; you do not need to be on WIC to participate. The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.
