More than 50 Indian Lake area businesses and organizations set up in the elementary gym and cafeteria for the annual Halloween Parade on Nov. 27. This awesome tradition gets bigger and scarier every year. Billi Hurley from Impressions Hair Salon in Russells Point said, “It’s so much fun to see all the kids in costume. I even dress up myself! It’s one more way our community can support the kids.”
All 600-plus students paraded through the hallways and through the gym collecting candy and other goodies and saying “thank you” before heading to their classroom parties. Lewis Construction of Huntsville even gave away two bicycles to kindergartener Kitana Richmond and fourth grader Kaylee Overbey.
The ILES staff dressed up as well, wearing costumes from emojis to cans of play-dough. The paraprofessionals were the Grand Marshals of the parade dressed as minions.
