If I were principal for a day: I would ban cell phones so teachers get the full respect they deserve.
Favorite High School Memory: My favorite memory is playing first base as my team completed a no-hitter last season.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My uncle, Gabe Wickline, inspires me. He has always been a positive influence and a great friend, as well as uncle.
Lately I’ve been reading: Star Wars: Heir to the Empire and Prospero’s Daughter
My advice to parents: Motivate your kids and be involved, but don’t crush them with expectations.
My Biggest Regret: I regret waiting until my junior year to put myself out there and meet new people.
Next Year I Will Be: attending college for English and Marketing
Parents: Billi Purk and Joseph Shadrack
School Activities: Volleyball, Basketball and Spanish Club
If I were principal for the day: I would bring back home economics. I feel like that class could benefit many kids, as some of us don’t have someone in our lives to teach us how to cook or how to sew a button onto a shirt.
Favorite School Memory: My favorite school memory was visiting my favorite teacher at my former school. He would always have a donut and coffee waiting for me.
People who have been an inspiration to me: People who have inspired me include my parents and my brother.
Lately I’ve been reading: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
My advice to parents: My advice to parents is with everything we’ve been through, you guys are doing great.
My Biggest Regret: I don’t have any regrets. Everything I do or don’t do is with reason and with no regret.
Next Year I will be: Hopefully attending my dream campus at OSU Lima working toward an Education degree. I will also be finishing training for the Ohio Army National Guard.
