Pink Out raises funds for Cancer Society

Submitted story

The Pink Out event held during the Indian Lake vs. Bellefontaine football game garnered nearly $2,450 in donations for the Logan County Cancer Society. The ILHS and BHS Cheerleaders led the charge, selling T-shirts and scoreboard sponsorships in advance of the game. They also sold Pink Out items and collected donations during the game. ILHS math teacher Amber Shively, who is awaiting surgery to help treat breast cancer, and ILHS Students with Disabilities teacher Donna Elson, who defeated ovarian cancer last spring, were the special honorees of the night.
