The Top of Ohio chapter of Mended Hearts will meet Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. in the conference room on the 1st floor near the cafeteria at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. Speaker Beth Short, CPN (Certified Nurse Practitioner) from OSU Cardiology in Bellefontaine will discuss fluid retention and heart failure. Light heart-healthy refreshments will be served. Mended Hearts is a national non-profit support organization for those of any age with heart problems and heart disease, their family members and caregivers. Mt. Tabor Church of God will hold a Revival Meeting Wednesday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 4. Revival services will be held weeknights at 7 p.m., Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. During each service, the church choir sings and evangelist Calvin Price delivers a message. Discovery Riders Inc. is holding a Volunteer Orientation and Training Session on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at 5850 S. state Route 292, Zanesfield. Volunteers are needed to help students with disabilities learn to ride horses. Through this activity, the riders benefit physically, cognitively and emotionally from the movement of the horse and the interactive environment. Volunteers have a special impact for these students as they assist the students in learning to ride and complete activities. West Liberty United Methodist Church is once again offering Grief Support through GriefShare, a 13-week seminar and support group to help rebuild life after losing a loved one, offering help, encouragement and hope. Two session times are offered: Mondays at 10 a.m. Aug. 20 to Nov. 12; or Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21 to Nov. 13. There is a $5 registration fee. The Logan County Health District offers free HIV testing the third Monday of every month from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Testing is confidential. The goal of this program is to prevent the spread of the HIV disease through education and testing.

Women who have experienced infertility or miscarriage, are undergoing fertility treatments, or are considering adoption are invited to a monthly support group that meets at Memorial Hospital. HOPE, an independent, peer-led, female-only support group provides an opportunity to share information, discuss sensitive issues, or just listen to others. The Food Pantry of Wake Up the World Ministries is open the last Friday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. to individuals and families in Logan County needing food and who qualify under the Second Harvest Food Bank criteria. The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.

The Indian Lake United Christian Services Food Pantry at the Municipal Building, 433 state Route 708, Russells Point, offers food assistance to all residents of the Indian Lake School District on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and operates solely with donated funds and food.

TB testing is done 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m.on Mondays and Tuesdays. The charge is $20 cash, or check with ID. Most Ohio Medicaid plans are accepted.
