The heat didn’t keep the faithful away this past weekend at the Rock the Lake 3-day faith-based festival held on Old Field Beach at Indian Lake. Put on by contemporary Christian radio station Shine FM, the event was a big success as thousands flocked to the beach for a weekend filled with family-friendly fun events and top-notch musical performances.

Christian singer/songwriter Mallary Hope dazzled the huge crowd with her inspiring acoustical songs. She also treated her many fans to one of her new songs not yet released to the public. Following Hope on stage were Carrollton, Unspoken and concert headliner Mandisa.

The event included fun games and activities for kids including a KidsZone and Petting Zoo. The beach was packed with swimmers, sun-bathers and picnickers.

A water play zone was set up in addition to badminton, corn hole, kite flying and yard games.

Food trucks and various vendors were located at the beach. Worship services occurred on Friday and Sunday.

Saturday’s Main Stage Music Line-up also included Jared and Deb Manns, Hayden and Safekept.
