It’s going to be another “wacky” fun time at the famous Harborfest at Indian Lake this weekend. A “boatload” of events are scheduled and it should be a “nautical” good time for all.
The festivities kick off Friday night , Aug. 3, with the “Harborfest Night Moves 5k Race.” Wear your favorite glow-in-the-dark gear while jogging atop the Sandy Beach Bridge and along the lake in Russells Point.
On Saturday, Aug. 4, it’s an all-day festival at Russells Point Harbor with lots of games, music, wacky competitions, food vendors, craft booths, fair food and a cruise-in.
You can still sign up for this year’s famous wacky races and games. This year there are two new wacky events, the “Wacky Chair Races” and the “Wacky Cornhole Tournament.”
Bring your own desk chair with a wacky flair and race through downtown Russells Point for a chance to win prizes. There are also a limited number of chairs available for auction through the Chamber of Commerce. Race begins at noon.
The “Wacky Cornhole Tournament” will take place on the lawn at the “Landing” in Russells Point. Compete against other teams for cash prizes. Event begins at 10am.
Other wacky events include the famous “Wacky Boat Race,” at 2:00 pm, and the great “Wacky Duck Slide,” at 3:30pm. Tickets are only $5.00 a duck and the grand prize is $500.00 with an additional 9 places for cash prizes.
To register for an event, purchase a duck or for more information contact the Chamber at http://www.visitindianlakeohio.com. (937)843-5392
