BELLEFONTAINE — Interested community members and organizations met July 18 in response to a call to action. Learning about the needs of the community through the analysis of the 2018 Community Health Risk and Needs Assessment data, focus groups and one-on-one interviews, participants prioritized areas of focus for the next three years.

These areas included substance abuse, mental health, healthy living, access to resources, housing/homelessness, safe children and workforce development. As a result, each of these areas have established or will establish a coalition to develop strategies and action steps for improvement.

Anyone wishing to become a part of a coalition should contact Tammy Allison at (937) 599-7003 or Donna Metzler at (937) 651-6217.

A copy of the needs assessment may be found at maryrutan.org and loganhealth.org.
