We all have dreams, some big, some small. For many that includes the lifetime dream of running their own business. That truly is the American Dream.
Usually, the difference between pursuing that dream and actually fulfilling the dream comes down to gritty attributes such as fortitude, hard work and the courage to try.
Well, one local resident has fulfilled that dream of a lifetime. Stephanie Inskeep, who grew up at Indian Lake and has lived 15 years of her life here, has just opened “Hometown Hair” in downtown Lakeview.
“I’m very excited and ready to get started,” said Inskeep. “Nobody said this would be easy, but I was blessed with family and friends that helped make this dream a reality.”
Customers can walk-in or make appointments for beauty, cosmetic and personal care at her new salon.
“I will be offering hair cuts, shampoos, styling, coloring, perms, men’s, kids’, waxing and more,” Inskeep said.
Friends, family, media and representatives from the Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce all showed up for the big Grand Opening, where refreshments were served, a drawing occurred and special Grand Opening $5 eyebrow waxes were offered.
“I am so beyond thankful and blessed,” said Inskeep. “Today was perfect, I made new friends and caught up with old friends. The support in our community is amazing. A very special thank you to my Dad (Scott Faulder) and Momma (Brandy Faulder).”
