When most people think about a bank, well let’s be honest, they think about what’s inside. And that would be money and the big ol’ heavy vault that holds all that money, of course. It’s just the image that most would initially come up with.
And although that is very important, the most important things (assets) inside a bank are actually its people. Think about it, without great employees, who are stewards and safe keepers of your hard earned money, then you really have nothing but a cold empty building and a big heavy vault.
At Indian Lake’s Osgood State Bank in Lakeview, they take care of your money, give friendly customer service and fulfill all your banking needs.
But that’s not all they do. They go the extra mile and give back and participate in the community.
If you like the annual Lakeview Car and Craft Show, well, they are active in helping to organize that. How about the big Lakeview Downtown Christmas event put on every year in December, yelp, they help with that also.
This bank also has community spirit, putting together a fun and safe environment for local students with the “Spirit Night for Indian Lake Schools” event every fall. It’s like a tailgate party for all the students. How cool is that?
Last year Osgood Bank also collected and donated school supplies for the Waynesville Schools.
This really is a bank that cares about its community. Osgood State Bank puts the “good” in banking , around here. Their balance sheets and financial statements go beyond just the numbers and actually reflect how much they care about the community. That’s what I would call a really “balanced financial statement” to the community.
But, what else would you expect from a great lake community like Indian Lake? This is a fantastic small, country, nautical town full of big hearted people.
It’s the people inside that count and around here these folks go the extra mile.
An extra “country mile as the crow flies,” that is.
