Benefit Trivia Night will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. Five-member teams from Logan County schools, businesses and civic groups can register to compete for medals and fame.
The 21st annual trivia bee is sponsored by the Logan County branch of AAUW and the Bellefontaine Examiner to raise funds for two middle school girls to attend a week-long science, technology, math and engineering camp this summer. Also, through the Logan County Education Foundation, funds are provided for building grants in area schools.
A registration fee of $125 paid to the AAUW branch covers participation by five people, pizza, drinks and snacks. Checks should be sent to Kristin Braig, registration chair, at 9055 O’Connor’s Point, Belle Center, 43310, along with the names of team members and a return mailing address.
Ten questions from 10 categories will be read aloud so team members can discuss and submit their answers. This year the categories are “Best of the Best,” “Where Did That Come From?” “Our Roots,” “Best Seller,” “Nicknames,” “You Go Girl,” “It’s a Small World,” “Wonderful Destinations,” “ The Magic of the 80’s,” and “Global Communications.”
