Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s student traveling music and ministry group, Transformed, will give a presentation through worship and music in Green Hill Community’s Foundation Hall at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 16. The Logan County Art League will offer a one-day acrylic painting with a palette knife workshop on March 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tennessee artist Terry Chandler, landscape painter of the Knoxville and Gatlinburg area, will teach the workshop. All materials and an 8-inch by 11-inch canvas will be provided. The workshop is limited to 12 students. You will need to bring your own lunch. The cost of the workshop is $120.00 and checks should be made payable to the Logan County Art League. Checks can be mailed to LCAL, PO Box 201, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. West Liberty United Methodist Church is hosting a Benefit Ham Loaf and Escalloped Chicken Dinner for local army veteran Larry Lamb to assist with medical expenses for cancer treatment. The dinner is on Friday, March 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The community is invited to celebrate the successful completion of the treatment and to show support to Lamb. A donation of $12 per meal is appreciated and 100 percent goes to help Lamb recover financially.

The Riverside Lunch Bunch meets again on Sunday, March 11, at 12:30 p.m. in the Quincy United Methodist Church. Children of all ages are welcome. This month’s meal will be spaghetti and the activity will be painting a spring scene. This monthly ministry is held each month on the second Sunday of the month during the school year. The Top of Ohio chapter of Mended Hearts will meet Thursday, March 8, at 6 p.m. at the new Mary Rutan Health Center at the corner of U.S. routes 33 and 68 in Bellefontaine. Use the Dowell Avenue entrance on the south side of the building and meet in the main lobby for a guided tour of the facility. Light refreshments and the meeting, with election of officers, will be in the Community Room on the first floor following the tour. HOPE, an independent, peer-led, female-only support group provides an opportunity to share information, discuss sensitive issues, or just listen to others. The Food Pantry of Wake Up the World Ministries is open the last Friday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. to individuals and families in Logan County needing food and who qualify under the Second Harvest Food Bank criteria. The Logan County Health District is offering flu shots for all ages during the regular Immunization Clinics every Thursday from 9 to 11a.m. and the 1st Thursday of the month from 2 to 6 p.m. Most insurances are accepted..

TB testing is done 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m.on Mondays and Tuesdays. The charge is $20 cash, or check with ID. Most Ohio Medicaid plans are accepted.
