BELLEFONTAINE – Nine Upper Scioto Valley/Ohio Hi-Point Career Center students advanced to the Business Professionals of America (BPA) state competition after competing at the regional level in January at Apollo Career Center in Lima.

The following students placed first in their respective category and will compete at the BPA State Leadership Conference in Columbus on March 8.

Integrated Office Applications – Julieann Castle and Mikayla Wolford

Database Applications – Gwen Purtee and Breanna Anderson

Presentation Management Individual – Kiarra Coats (Benjamin Logan High School)

Broadcast News Production Team – Justin Agnew, Briona Hurley, Rylee Shepherd, Evan Thompson

Extemporaneous Speech – Olyvia Sloan

The Upper Scioto Valley BPA chapter is an Ohio Hi-Point satellite program taught by Mary Trudgeon.
