Ted Wiese, youth leadership development speaker, spoke to the student body at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center on Jan. 26, sharing the three keys to leadership. Using wit, wisdom and real-life stories, he challenged students to conquer fear and take meaningful action while reinforcing the habit of having an “I feel great!” attitude.

“Leaders make things happen,” said Wiese. “Want to be a leader? Take action. When you have the guts to take action, you gain experience. When you gain experience, you gain confidence. When you gain confidence, you take more action.”

Students participated in various activities that emphasized Wiese’s message. At the end of the program, students were reminded that habits shape the world around them and to surround themselves with positive people and positive experiences.
