Police and EMS help churches to be prepared

The Russells Point Police Department partnered with Indian Lake EMS to present a program called “Church Critical Incident Planning” to local church administrators. This overview of the ALICE program, as well as info about identifying and responding to suspicious activity, resulted from conversations that followed church-related tragedies last year. Participants also received info regarding medical and fire emergency planning and response. The group will use the info to begin discussions on developing emergency plans in the event of a critical incident. Eventually, the full ALICE training will be offered at each church for members.
