The Logan County Farmers Market is reaching out to the community to raise financial support for its continuing operations and has accepted an offer from Brewfontaine to serve as the Market’s first Community Partner for 2018.

Brewfontaine’s $5,000 contribution brings the campaign’s progress to over $10,000, from over 40 individual and business contributors. The Market’s fundraising goal is $25,000.

In 2017, CraftBeer.com voted Brewfontaine the #1 Beer Bar in Ohio. Boasting a large can and bottle selection and an ever-changing draft list of mead, cider, and craft beer, Brewfontaine puts a heavy focus on Ohio breweries. But it doesn’t just stop there. “Most of the community knows us for our drink selection, which is great, but food is actually half our business and we use as much local, quality, fresh ingredients as possible,” says Adam Rammel, Co-owner of Bellefontaine.

As a Community Partner, Brewfontaine will host food events in coordination with the Farmers Market this year. They will also have a booth at the Market one day this season with a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Joseph Moore.

Brewfontaine hopes to obtain more ingredients for their menu from local growers, and the Community Partnership will help the business develop relationships with Farmers Market vendors.

“Our Farmers Market is incredibly important and serves as not only a way for people to purchase locally grown produce but also as a chance for them to connect with others. This is a growing national trend and it’s a great feeling to be able to put a face to the farmer who grew the product. We’re thrilled to be the Community Partner in 2018.”

Karla Kauffman, Market Manager, says, “We are excited and grateful to Brewfontaine for their generosity. We look forward to hosting events with them and providing them with many farmers’ market products for their restaurant. This will be a true partnership with local foods and locally owned businesses at the center.”

All donors giving $25 or more by February 4th are entered in a raffle for a gift basket of over $400 worth of items from local farms and businesses. Various levels of contributions are welcome. Sponsor logos on our annual signs at the Market begin at $1,000. To contribute to the Market, go to www.logancountyfarmersmarket.com or call 937-844-7628.
