Green Hills Community has been named a bronze Employer of Choice by LeadingAge Ohio for 2017-2018.
The award recognizes providers of aging services that demonstrate leadership in employee development and engagement and meet stringent workforce development criteria.
The Employer of Choice program establishes operational standards for workforce practices among providers of aging services and acknowledgement for those who treat their employees with the same care and respect they want their employees to provide to residents.
“We are very proud to be recognized for our employee culture and commitment to excellence,” said Mike Ray, President/CEO of Green Hills. “We believe that great care begins with great staff and we do what we can to reward them for their commitment to our residents.”
During a criteria review, it was determined that Green Hills meets three elements and exceeds in the areas of Star Rating, Resident/Client Satisfaction, Financial Strength, Employee Benefits, hires own staff, and Community Engagement.
Kathryn Brod, President/CEO of LeadingAge Ohio indicated she is impressed with Green Hills’ community engagement.
“Green Hills Community demonstrates deep connections with the greater community and has outcome to prove it. Examples are exceeding 100 percent of goal for blood drives, attendance of politicians and community leaders at chamber of commerce annual legislative breakfast, and educational luncheons,” she said.
LeadingAge Ohio is a nonprofit trade association that represents approximately 500 long-term health care organizations that serve an estimated 400,000 people annually and employ more than 35,000 people.
