Riverside High School September Seniors of the Month are Shane Crawford and Lauryn Davis
Shane Crawford is the son of Robert Crawford and Jennie Vondenhuevel. He plays football and basketball, and is a member of Business Professionals of America.
He said if he were principal for a day, “I would give everybody the day off.”
His favorite school memory is winning the eighth grade NWCC Championship for basketball.
Tanner Lane and Coach McGill have inspired him.
His biggest regret is not trying harder to get better grades.
Crawford plans to attend college after high school. His advice to underclassmen is, “Do your best at school, don’t give up and appreciate the little things.”
Lauryn Davis is the daughter of Tim and Emily Davis. She is in Youth Leadership, United Way, FCA, Interact, BPA, NHS, and plays volleyball and softball.
If she were principal for a day, she said, “I would have a giant game of Laser Tag throughout.”
Her favorite school memory is the volleyball team making it to the second round in the tournament last year.
Her parents, grandparents, Mr. Yoder, Mrs. Weadock and Coach Kerr have inspired her.
Her biggest regret is stressing out over the little things.
Davis plans to attend college for graphic design or business after high school. Her advice to underclassmen is, “Don’t be afraid to be yourself.”
