Green Hills Community offers training to become a State Tested Nursing Assistant. The classes are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 3 through 14.
The program prepares candidates for the Ohio certification test that allows them to work in long-term care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care settings.
STNAs help patients and residents with activities of daily living and are responsible for the first line of care that promotes physical and emotional wellness and help restore patients and residents to the greatest level of independence possible.
In a small classroom setting, students are taught from a comprehensive curriculum approved by the Ohio Department of Health and spend time practicing their skills and asking questions.
Outside the classroom, students participate in 16 hours of hands-on clinical training.
At the conclusion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the state test for nursing assistants.
To register or ask about the course, call Karen Arnett or Stacie Cingle at 937-465-5065.
