Martin, Osborne attend Girls State

The 69th annual American Legion Auxiliary Buckeye Girls State session ended June 19. Nearly 900 high school students who completed their junior year participated in a week of campaigning, elections and running a city, county or state government.

Kalyndi Martin of Lakeview obtained the position of assistant senate journal clerk of Flowers City. Anna Osborne of Huntsville served as police chief of Hayes City.

The students were sponsored by Huntsville Charles Collins Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 381.
