BELLEFONTAINE – The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center school board approved a change to the annual length of Superintendent Dr. Rick Smith’s contract at its Nov. 16 meeting.
Smith’s contract was revised to be 250 days per year, down from 260 days annually. The change was effective Aug. 1, 2016, Communications Coordinator Jessie Behnke said.
The board also discussed the success of the Fall Career Preview Open House. The open house, held Nov. 15, brought in families from all 14 districts represented at the career center. Sophomores will also have a chance to investigate the career center at the “Go for the Gold” First Chance Application Night, 6-8 p.m. Dec. 8, where they can fill out an application. An online application will also be available on the school’s website at midnight that evening.
