Riverside High School’s October Seniors of the Month are Alex Carey and Samantha Garrett. Here are their comments.

Alex Carey

Parents: Jim and Debbie Carey

If I were principal for the day: I would just have a big field day and party.

School activities and awards: National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Envirothon Team, Track and Field

Favorite School Memory: Going to Hot Head Burrito for lunch during a field trip

People who have been an inspiration to me: My grandparents, my parents and Donald J. Trump

Lately, I have been reading: whatever is assigned in class

My advice to parents: Push your kids to bring out their potential, but don’t push them too hard.

My biggest regret: Pursuing an honors diploma

Next year I will be: Attending college for criminal justice

Samantha Garrett

Parents: Amnitty Garrett

School activities and awards: BPA, Tri-M, Choir

If I were principal for the day: Have B-Dubs cater lunch and watch movies all day.

Favorite School Memory: Watching everyone grow up and become the amazing people they are today or class during English 11

People who have been an inspiration to me: My best friend Alaura, and my Mom and my Nan, they are all such strong people. Also, my best friend Kelsey, for being herself and not caring what others think.

Lately I have been reading: My Bible

My advice to parents: Let your kids have fun! They only get to be young once!

My biggest regret: Not being in more activities in high school.

Next year I will be: Hopefully attending Cedarville University for my theology degree
