Children and adults attended the yearly Ghosts & Goblins: Literature to Scare and Delight program at Mac-O-Chee Castle. The theme this year was about pumpkin lore. The adventure started with games and bobbing for apples hung from a string, clothesline style.
Folks moved to the lawn below the balcony for the telling of the Headless Horseman, acted by costumed Piatt Castle staff members. Two groups went to different floors for the next part of the adventure.
On the third floor was puppet fun with Pam Clause with hobgoblins, a wolf and other puppets. In the Dining Room on the first floor was ghost stories and poems with Margaret Piatt. The adventure continued with a walk down the hidden stairs through the scary basement to the outside. If they made it out the basement they enjoyed Trick-or-Treating with Castle staff!
