Local veterans are invited to take their families, their stories and memorabilia to Bellefontaine’s Ashley HomeStore on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 8 a.m. for the store’s seventh annual Veterans Celebration and pancake breakfast.

“This year will be our biggest veteran celebration ever,” said Cindy Titus, Ashley HomeStore event coordinator. “In addition to the free breakfast, we’re giving away over $5,500 in free furniture and other prizes to a few lucky local veterans in attendance. Veterans are invited to have their picture taken and added to our “Wall of Honor” and receive a free commemorative “Challenge Coin.” There is no purchase required! It’s our way of showing how much we love and appreciate our Veterans.”

The store is co-owned by brothers David and Ben Monnin. Founding owner Dave Monnin Sr. is an Army veteran, his son and current co-owner Ben is an Army Ranger. Many of Ashley’s staff are comprised of or married to veterans.

“We are a better nation because of our veterans,” said Cindy. “We express our gratitude to all who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces every day at Ashley HomeStore. We do it publicly one day a year. Free food. Free furniture. Free love.”

The store is located at 2400 Rt. 68 South, Bellefontaine.
