On Saturday, Aug. 13, the Teddy Bear Walk-A-Thon was held at Lions Ball Park in West Liberty. Three children participated, cousins Chloe King, Lleyton King and Brynn Cropper, who walked three times around the path. They were supplied with water as they walked the path to keep cool. Sponsors were Trumpet Vine, Naturally Clean, Piatt Castles and Project Teddy Bear & Friends non-profit board members. As the three reached the finish line none of them wanted to be in first place so they agreed to walk in at the same time. Three first place winners and great supporters of Project Teddy Bear and Friends.

The sponsor money raised will be put toward The Teddy Bear Den storage building needed to sort and house the stuffed animals and thrift items donated year-round. During the West Liberty Labor Day Festival, September 3-5, Project Teddy Bear & Friends will have a booth at the ball park, in the big tent by the playground and give stuffed animals and thrift items away for free to those who need them. For more information please call the Teddy Bear Lady at 937-465-6081, e-mail at revtamiwenger@yahoo.com, or visit the website at www.revtami.org.
