The Indian Lake Area Historical Society will meet Monday, June 27, at 7 p.m. at the Galilee Lutheran Church on Lincoln Blvd. in Russells Point. The speaker for the evening will be Jim Bowsher. His subject will be “Indian Lore.” Everyone is welcome.

The West Liberty Lions will have a Fish Fry 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the main shelter house in The Lions Park. Watch girls fast pitch softball, enjoy some fish, then watch the fireworks. The Fish Fry supports Lions projects in the area.

All are welcome to a scavenger hunt/poker run 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 25, which will start and end at the Kenton Moose Lodge, 801 W. Lima St. (West state Route 309), Kenton. First vehicle will be out at 11 a.m.; last vehicle in at 4 p.m. All items will be found in Hardin County. Cost is $10 for driver or solo; $5 for passenger.

Kate Tloczynski presents a program on “Care for Aging Skin” from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, June 24, during an educational luncheon at Green Hills Community, 6557 S. U.S. 68, West Liberty. The Turkeyfoot Benefit Crew will be hosting the 17th annual Parade and Auction on Saturday, June 18, beginning at 11 a.m. on Turkeyfoot. Again this year, the Shriners will be participating in the parade and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 decorated golf carts. Newell St., offers Grief Support through a program called GriefShare, a weekly seminar and support group designed to help rebuild lives after losing a loved one, offering help, encouragement and hope. The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.

Logan/Champaign Counties Survivor of Suicide (SOS) Support Group for those bereaved by suicide will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month at the MHDAS Board, 123 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, with topics and events planned for each month.

The Indian Lake United Christian Services Food Pantry at the Municipal Building, 433 state Route 708, Russells Point, offers food assistance to all residents of the Indian Lake School District on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and operates solely with donated funds and food.

The Logan County Health District Office, 310 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, is open 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday; and 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday. Hours have been reduced due to budget cuts. WIC hours are not affected. For more information, call 937-651-6186.

Flu shots for all ages are available 9-11 a.m. each Thursday and 2-6 p.m. the first and Thursday of each month. Most insurances are accepted. Call 937-651-6186 to register.

The Logan County WIC has monthly breastfeeding classes at the Logan County Health District office. The classes are open to the public; you do not need to be on WIC to participate. The class is designed for anyone thinking about breastfeeding to help determine the right choice for themselves and their baby. For more information call the health district at 937-651-6191.

TB testing is done 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m.on Mondays and Tuesdays. The charge is $20 cash, or check with ID.
