The Indian Lake Middle School Mini Relay for Life capped off a year-long effort to raise money for fighting cancer.

More than 500 students took part in the annual event on campus. Grade levels took turns walking the track throughout the day. Students lined up for a chance to soak teachers and administrators in the Dunk Tank. Students ran an obstacle course in the gym and played other games. The Allison Family sold food and souvenirs. The entire event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The one day Mini Relay brought in more than $2600.

That money will be added to proceeds from several staff carry-in lunches, the staff Christmas costume contest and other fundraisers throughout the year.
