Amber Roth and Brandon Cron are the May Seniors of the Month at Riverside High School. Here are their comments.
Parents: Beverly Roth
School activities and awards: BPA Secretary, Student Council, Radio, Bowling and Track
If I were Principal for the day: I would give the students a two-hour delay, ice cream bar at lunch and nap time after lunch.
Favorite School Memory: getting to go to Chicago for a radio conference with a few fellow seniors and the school radio station managers.
People who have been an inspiration to me: Mrs. Weadock, Jasmine Bryant, and my mom.
Lately, I have been reading: Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
My advice to parents: to not put too much pressure on your kids when it comes to school and sports and let them have a little freedom.
My biggest regret: spending so much time worrying about what other people think and all the bad things that might happen instead of focusing on the good times and the future.
Next year I will be: in the fall I will be attending Bowling Green State University. I am still undecided on my major. I’m currently deciding between education and journalism.
