The Indian Lake High School Alumni Association is planning a June 11 annual alumni banquet. Addresses are still being sought for many grads, especially the Class of 1966, being honored for its 50-year anniversary. The 40- and 25-year classes will be recognized, as well as the classes every five years since 1941. The 5:30 p.m. social hour will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner.

Reservations are due May 30. The cost is $20 per attendee. Those who didn’t receive invitations still can reserve a place by sending a check for $20 per person to Larry Mawhorr, 1404 Shawnee Trace, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Make checks payable to Indian Lake Alumni.

To help reduce the fear of falling and increase activity among older adults, Green Hills Community is offering another session of “Matter of Balance.” This 6-week course emphasizes strategies to reduce fear of falling. Learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set goals to increase activity, change surroundings to reduce fall risk factors. The course is 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays from May 2 to June 13 in the Training Room at Green Hills Community, 6557 S. U.S. 68, West Liberty. West Liberty-Salem High School will hold graduation at 2 p.m. May 22 in the main high school gymnasium.

Ohio Hi-Point Career Center graduation is at 6:30 p.m. May 25 outside at the career center in Bellefontaine. If there is bad weather, the graduation will move to the Bellefontaine High School gymnasium.

Indian Lake Local Schools Athletic Physical Day will be held Tuesday, May 24. Examinations will begin at the middle school at noon and continue at the high school into the afternoon. Students must bring a completed physical form signed by a parent. 2016-17 Physical Forms can be found at www.ils-k12.org. Forms can also be picked up in the ILMS or ILHS offices. This is a requirement for any student planning to take part in sports during the 2016-17 school. Physicals cost $5.

“Hoops at the Lake” returns to Indian Lake Local Schools June 13-16. The camp for boys will focus on fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense along with team concepts, sportsmanship and more. Each session will be filled with fast-paced activities that players of all ages can enjoy. Boys entering grades 4 through 8 will be Indian Lake High School 8 a.m.-noon. The cost for older boys is $50. Boys entering grades 1 through 3 will come to Indian Lake Elementary School from 1 to 3 pm. Their cost is $30. Perennial Swap at the Knowlton Library will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14. Have items labeled and at the parking lot north of the library by 11 a.m. The swap is to start at 11:10 a.m. If raining the swap will be held in the AcuSport Community Room. Perennials are not limited to flowers and participants may swap for equal number of items bought.

The Logan County Health District is sponsoring a Childhood Dental Clinic (ages 0-18) made possible with staffing and equipment provided through the Smile Programs Mobile Dentist. Appointments are being scheduled now by calling 937-651-6197. This clinic will be held on Friday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Union Station, 613 Hamilton St., Bellefontaine. Kirkmont Back To Basics Day is set for 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Kirkmont Center of Zanesfield. Family members of all ages are welcome to Kirkmont’s 278 acres of wooded countryside for a day of back-to-basics interpretation and entertainment. The day will include guided hikes, self-led hiking and exploring, interpretive presentations, arts-and-crafts, a scavenger hunt, and an appearance from Creek Stewart of Willow Haven outdoors, host of The Weather Channel’s Fat Guys in the Woods and consultant for Backpacker Magazine. Newell St., offers Grief Support through a program called GriefShare, a weekly seminar and support group designed to help rebuild lives after losing a loved one, offering help, encouragement and hope. The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.

Logan/Champaign Counties Survivor of Suicide (SOS) Support Group for those bereaved by suicide will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month at the MHDAS Board, 123 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, with topics and events planned for each month.

The Indian Lake United Christian Services Food Pantry at the Municipal Building, 433 state Route 708, Russells Point, offers food assistance to all residents of the Indian Lake School District on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and operates solely with donated funds and food.

The Logan County Health District Office, 310 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, is open 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday; and 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday. Hours have been reduced due to budget cuts. WIC hours are not affected. For more information, call 937-651-6186.

Flu shots for all ages are available 9-11 a.m. each Thursday and 2-6 p.m. the first and Thursday of each month. Most insurances are accepted. Call 937-651-6186 to register.

The Logan County WIC has monthly breastfeeding classes at the Logan County Health District office. The classes are open to the public; you do not need to be on WIC to participate. The class is designed for anyone thinking about breastfeeding to help determine the right choice for themselves and their baby. For more information call the health district at 937-651-6191.

TB testing is done 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m.on Mondays and Tuesdays. The charge is $20 cash, or check with ID.
