Don’t have space for a garden or just want to be a part of working with fellow gardening enthusiasts? West Liberty has planting plots available in the Community Vegetable Garden. It is located on Adriel’s campus at 414 N. Detroit St. by the green house. Adriel donates the land as a peaceful and healing place for the youths to be a part of.

Planting will start on Saturday, May 14. One week’s notice on the size of plot is preferred. Plot sizes are 5’X10’, 10’X10’, or 20’X10’. The space has held on average 20 plus spots in the last five years. There have been about 13 community spots on average and the rest are tended by Adriel youth. Anyone from other towns can join in as long as they tend to their garden. Those interested can garden any time that is convenient for them. There is a combination lock so they can have access to the hose and tools.

There are some seeds available, and this is all donated at no cost. For more information call Erin Dye at 937-597-3394 or e-mail, erin.dye@adriel.org. Come join the fun of gardening with the neighbors, by adding to your home garden, if you have never had a garden or just to work together with others!
