WEST LIBERTY – On May 21, West Liberty remembers the “Bad Fire” of 1880 by holding the Annual Community Garage Fire Sales. The fire started in a barn and spread through town destroying many businesses and several homes was the worst in village history.
The West Liberty Business Association will provide village maps of sale locations and port-a-johns. It will start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. The Bicentennial Celebration Committee will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets in several locations through out the day.
