Members of the Indian Lake High School’s FCCLA scored high marks at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference at the Ohio State Fairgrounds recently.

The team of Kiersten Messer, Breanna Thompson and Zolena Franklin earned a Gold rating and placed second in the state on their National Programs in Action project in the Junior category. Their project featured a presentation on the skills and leadership used in hosting the annual Indian Lake High School Veterans Breakfast in November.

Meantime, Franklin, Messer and Thompson, along with Melanie Watkins and Ellie Boyer received the Power of One Award for completing projects in the five areas of Better You, Family Ties, Working on Working, Taking the Lead and Speaking Out for FCCLA.
