Indian Lake Elementary physical education students are taking the fight against heart disease seriously. Recently students took part in the Jump Rope for Heart program through the American Heart Association. In addition to jump rope challenges in class, students brought in a total of $3,800 in donations. That’s $200 beyond last year’s total. More than 100 students took part in the fundraiser, collecting money from friends and relatives. ILES Physical Education teacher Kristen Altstaetter thanks several local businesses for their contributions as well.
