BELLEFONTAINE – Individuals with developmental disabilities in Logan County wrapped up Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by delivering special thanks to local businesses that support them.

Eric Easley and Emma Spencer brought snacks, thank you cards and a jar of candy that they will come back and fill anytime it is empty to Tim Horton’s, TP Lanes, Family Video, the Bellefontaine Examiner, Mad River Crossfit, Wood Forest Bank and Ohio Fitness and Martial Arts Thursday, March 31.

Even though developmental disabilities awareness month is coming to a close we are going to continue to say thank you all year long to these amazing businesses and their employees,” Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities Community First Coordinator Kelli Bader said. “So be on the look-out because if you are the difference in the life of someone with a developmental disability, it will not go unnoticed in Logan County.”

The theme for the month of March was “What’s Your Story?” The Logan County developmental disabilities board has been sharing the stories of the people the board assists during special events like the Elected Officials Breakfast and the RTC Industries Employer Appreciation Breakfast earlier this month. The board also added a video featuring several individuals and their stories, plus a blog page to its website, www.logancbdd.org.
