State FFA President Matthew Klopfenstein of Wayne Trace speaks to the crowd at the IL FFA Annual Banquet.

The Indian Lake FFA Chapter celebrated a successful year during the Annual Banquet on March 8. Advisor Gary Herren handed out awards for top fruit sellers and producers. Star Awards went to Nick Crockett, Tim Arvin, Lee King, Lucas McLane, Elizabeth Treen, Jeromy Ridenbaugh, Blake Wright, Ashley Holycross, Magan Johnston and Hannah Gross. The Most Improved Award went to Chase Flowers. The Chapter Star Awards went to Ashley Holycross and Magan Johnston.

State FFA President Matthew Klopfenstein was the featured speaker. He urged FFA members to use the organization to “find and write their story” as he has. He said, “Are you writing new chapters or the same stuff? FFA can help you write your story.” Klopfenstein visited the IL FFA Chapter earlier in the year to conduct a workshop.

The banquet ended with the members giving a video presentation of their activities through the year.
