Twelve Allied Health and Nursing students at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center advanced to the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference after competing at the Northwest Regional HOSA competition on Feb. 5.
A group of 30 Ohio Hi-Point HOSA students traveled to the University of Toledo to compete against other HOSA students from around the region in a variety of events and categories. The following OHPCC students advanced to the state competition:
Clinical Nursing: Alexa Arms, 1st place (Marysville); Shelby Collins, 2nd place (Marysville)
Healthy Lifestyle: Jordan Cotterman, 1st place (Upper Scioto Valley)
HOSA Bowl: First place team of Madison Rogan (Bellefontaine), Paige Butler (Marysville), Aisha Patrick (Benjamin Logan), Brett Rappold (Riverside)
Medical Law and Ethics: Gabriella Livingston, 1st place (Marysville)
Medical Math: Bridget Coldiron, 4th place (Benjamin Logan)
Pharmocology: Meyghan Crates, 3rd place (Ridgemont)
Personal Care: Lyndsey Eshelman, 1st (West Liberty-Salem); Caitlin Pepper, 2nd place (Riverside)
The State HOSA Leadership Conference returns to the University of Toledo April 5 and 6.
