West Liberty-Salem’s Middle School Science Olympiad Orange Team won 19 medals, earning them a first place trophy at the Sylvania Science Olympiad Invitational. The Middle School Black Team won 6 medals:

At Sylvania the WL-S High School Team won two medals and placed in the top third of 30 teams in their events: Fossils (1st Ian Higgins, Connor Motzko), Wright Stuff (3rd Miranda Etgen, Connor Motzko), Air Trajectory (8th Olivia Jacquemart, Nathaniel Benedict), Bridge Building (8th Savannah Redden, Ian Higgins), Dynamic Planet (9th Nathaniel Benedict, Connor Motzko), Geologic Mapping (10th Nathaniel Benedict).
