Tax season has arrived. If you are one of the 95 percent of taxpayers who used software to file your 2014 federal return, you probably do not need to read any further. Every year the IRS sees an increase of filing done with software. Because of this trend, the IRS budget for printed forms and instruction booklets is reduced. This year the Knowlton Library of the Logan County Libraries System will be receiving the 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ forms and instructions. Arrival date has not been announced. We will not be receiving any of the schedules (i.e. Schedule F Profit or Loss From Farming). There will be a binder with reproducible copies of the tax forms and instructions available for self-serve photocopying or print from www.irs.gov/formspubs or ask a Reference Assistant to print the forms you need. All black and white copies or printouts are $.20/sheet. Another option is for you to order all of the FREE forms and FREE instructions you need directly from www.irs.gov/orderforms or by calling 1-800-829-3676.
Call the Library at 937-599-4189 for more information.
