Indian Lake High School seniors Michael Mallory and Justin Young are participating in the Ohio Music Education Association’s All-State Choir Concert in Cincinnati on Monday, Dec. 28. The singers were selected for this prestigious event through audition tapes submitted earlier in the year. This is Young’s first year participating in the concert. Mallory is only the second Indian Lake chorale member to have been selected to the state choir for a third time. The concert features 200 singers from all areas of Ohio.

Meantime, ILHS musicians Jessica Grothaus and Justin Kindle will represent Indian Lake at the OMEA All District Honors Band Concert on Jan. 24 at Troy High School. Grothaus plays the clarinet while Kindle plays the saxophone. The pair were selected for the honor after an extensive try-out session earlier this fall.
