A record crowd turned out for the Bellefontaine Rotary Club Charter Night event celebrating 61 years of community service. Immediate Past President Peter Stolly and current President Sally Stolly handed out several awards during the dinner and program at the Fion Wine Room. Service Above Self Awards were presented to Joenee Purcell, Becky Hoffman, Angel Payne, Jason Robson, Delanie Buck, Mike Ray and Steve Buck. Linda Hauck received the Making A Difference Award. Rookie of the Year went to Jamie Ross and Special Recognition of Officers went to Secretary Tammy Gump and Treasurer Bill Boy. For his efforts as Rotary Honors Night Chairman, the Membership Committee co-chair and the Community Service Committee co-chair, the coveted Rotarian of the Year Award went to Dave Bezusko.Rotary District 6670 Governor Mark Mabelitini praised the group saying they aren’t just members of Rotary, but true Rotarians.
