Recently West Liberty-Salem High School hosted their annual Spring Athletic Awards Ceremonies.
Among the many athletes honored, there were many outstanding accomplishments.
In softball, 4 year participation plaques went to Erica McCall, Shea Teets, Olivia Ames, Kiana Reames, Kelby Strapp and Grace Woodruff. Olivia, Kiana, Kelby and Grace also received a 4 year letter plaque.
A 3 year letter plaque went to Kenedie Cox and Dierdre McGill. Defensive MVPs were Kelsey Day and Kiana Reames. Kenedie Cox was Offensive MVP. Varsity hustle went to Hallie Strapp and Jv hustle was Gracie Serna. Most improved went to Kelby Strapp. Dierdre McGill was the Scholar Athlete. Kenedie Cox and Kelsey Day both received 2nd team district and all state honorable mention.
In track, for the girls a 4 year participation and letter plaque went to Katie Hartsel and Jenna Magnuson.
A 3 year letter plaque went to Reghan Bieleski, Janie Kopus and Taylor Lauck. The MVPs were Taylor Lauck and Payton Umphries. Co MVPs were Janie Kopus and Lydia Moell. Addy Johnson was the most improved and Katie Hartsel was the Scholar athlete.
For the boys, a 4 year participation plaque went to Mike Conley, Sam Strickland and Brandon Wolfe.
Sam and Brandon also received a 4 year letter plaque. A 3 year letter plaque went to Nick Williams.
MVPs were Brandon Wolfe, Alex Fitzpatrick and Raiph Levan. Varsity hustle went to Sam Strickland.
Gavin Harrison was the most improved. Raiph Levan was also the Scholar athlete.
In baseball, a 4 year participation plaque went to Mike Conley, Brandon Orahood, Tyler Louden, Ben Hyland, Chase Humphrey and Dillon Callicoat. Chase , Dillon and Thomas Allen also received a 3 year letter plaque. Thomas also held the batting title and 1st team OHC. Another 1st team was Tyler Louden. 2nd team was Chase Humphrey and Levi Moell. Ben Hyland received honorable mention, scholar athlete and MVP. Trevor Burden was most improved. Varsity hustle went to Cayden Whitman.
