LEWISTOWN – Indian Lake Builders Club members hope to make Christmas merrier for some of their fellow students.

The club “adopted” seven Indian Lake Middle School families for the holidays. Several members recently went shopping at Wal-Mart in Bellefontaine using funds raised through their fall dance, Box Tops collection and cafeteria snack machine. They purchased items the adopted families need, like winter clothing, toys and more. Students did not know names of who they were buying for, just age, gender and size. Club advisor Mrs. Sarah Berg says after the students get the gifts wrapped she will handle making sure they get to the proper families. The Builders Club is made up of 40 seventh and eighth graders who strive to serve the student body and community.
