WL-S knocked off Cedarville, 59-43, in OHC girls basketball.

The Tigers led, 15-11, at the end of the first quarter and 26-19 at the half.

WL-S owned a 43-31 lead after three periods.

For the Tigers (1-1, 1-0), Lily Yoder had a game-high 21 points and Jamie Peterson added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

WL-S won the jayvee game, 21-15, led by Kenedie Cox’s 8 points.

Austin Miller scored a career-high 25 points as WL-S defeated Northeastern, 59-35, last Friday night in OHC boys basketball.

Kannon Stillings added a career-high 21 points for the Tigers.

West Liberty Salem lost against Calvary Christian 1,759-1,418 December 1st at Northridge Lanes.

Amariah Tanner had a 330 series, Keri Howard had a 276 series and Makayla Hartley had a 270 series.

For WL-S, Hailee Clifford had a 125-110/235 series and Taylor Loverde had a 117-87/204 series. Erica McCall recorded a 107 game.

West Liberty-Salem had several players named to the All-OHC football team.

Dusty Moell, Brandon Upton, Trevor Anderson and Trent Schmucker were named to the First Team.

Hunter Stewart and Brandon Wolfe were named to the Second Team.

Seth Jordan earned honorable mention.

Riverside’s 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams played Russia.

Riverside lost the 7th grade game by a score of 32-13. Riverside’s Alli Knight, Macie Manahan and Jalynn Stanley scored 4 points each. They are now 0-1 on the season.

Riverside lost the 8th grade game by a score of 24-14. Riverside’s Leah Kelsey scored 12 points in the loss. They are now 0-1 on the season.

On Tuesday night in Sidney, Ohio, in the gym of Sidney Christian School the Spartans of Calvary Christian took on the Eagles of Sidney Christian. It was a hard fought game, with the Spartans coming out on top of the Eagles 32-23, and moving to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans were led in scoring and rebounding by Garrett Reinhard, with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Sixth grade point guard, Luke Jackson added 9 points, while Isaac Reinhard put in another 6.

The Indian Lake 7th grade boys basketball team improved it’s record to 1-1 on the season with a thrilling 28-27 victory over Tecumseh Monday night at Tecumseh. Caden Hyder nailed the game winning basket with less than a second left on the clock for the Lakers. Alex Barnes led the team with 9 points. Darrick Curtis had 8 points.

Riverside girls beat Springfield Catholic Central, 33-21. Marissa Davis had 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Calvary Christian defeated Sidney Christian 47-26. Josh Kilgore had 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Daniel Wilt had 8 points.

Riverside boys varsity bowling lost to Ben Logan 2,609-1,946. Andrew Wright led the Pirates with games of 166, 165 for a 331 series and Dalton Lowery had a nice 185 game.

Riverside boys jayvee lost to Ben Logan 1,635-1,329. Leading the Pirates was Quin Stobbe with games of 125, 123 for 248 series and Alexander Carey had a 126 game.

Riverside varsity girls lost to Ben Logan 1,689-1,491. Leading the ladies was Mareana Steely with games of 147, 135 for a 282 series and Hailey Robinson had a 140 game.

Tecumseh girls jayvee defeated West Liberty-Salem, 41-17. Kenedie Cox had 7 points. Laine Godwin and Mya King had 7 rebounds each and Maddie Estes had 6 rebounds.

The WL-S boys 8th grade basketball team defeated Cedarville by the score of 56-32 at Cedarville. Trevor Woodruff led the Tigers with 16 points and Ethan Larson had 10.

The Calvary Christian Spartans opened the Grand Lake Christian Holiday Invitational Tournament in Wapakoneta with an exciting come from behind win 56-52 against the NW Ohio Crusaders. Daniel Wilt led the Spartans with 17 points. Tyler Reinhard had 13. Josh Kilgore chipped in with 11.
